On April,4, the Embassy hosted the concert, dedicated to the memory of the Peoples’ Artist of Russia Liudmila Nam. The Ambassador of Russia to the Republic of Korea Konstantiv Vnukov made the welcoming address to the guests, who were Ambassadors of a number of nations, accredited to the Republic of Korea, professors of Russian studies of the leading Korean universities, art and culture workers of the Republic of Korea, graduates of Russian Universities. From Korean part the guests were welcomed by Professor of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Dr.Kim Hyun Taek. The speakers emphasized the contribution of Liudmila Nam to the development of cultural relations between Russia and Korea and said a lot of warm words about her.
The concert included the performance of Korean drum group “KAROS” and classic music, performed by the singers Lee Yeon-song (bass), Park In-sil (soprano), violinist Kim Hye-ryon and pianists Seo Hye-jon and Ham Yu-jin. Many of these artists were personally acquainted with Liudmila Nam and learnt from her the art of performance.
