   Tourist visas

Tourist visas are issued to the foreign citizens and persons with non-citizenship status proceeding to Russia as tourists and having the correctly issued tourist documents.
To obtain a tourist visa the following specific papers should be submitted to the Consular Section:

1. a valid passport or a substitution document.

2. a completed visa application form.

3. one passport size colour or black and white photo without head-dress and sun glasses.

4. a tourist confirmation from a hosting authorized Russian travel agency (copy of such invitation). The Russian travel agencies authorized to issue the confirmation are those that are officially registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its regional representative offices and have a valid reference number. The confirmation should be a standardized form signed by the authorized person and sealed with the official stamp of the Russian travel agency. The confirmation should have a printed number. Confirmations bearing other numbers (written by hand, etc.) are deemed invalid.

5. the original of the tourist voucher of the travel agency in the Republic of Korea (or the representative office of the Russian travel company in the ROK). The voucher should contain the following information applicant��s name, date of birth, passport number, dates and points of arrival in and departure from Russia, the name of the travel agency in Russia, itinerary in Russia, the list of the services paid for (hotel reservation, excursions to the places of interest, etc.) sealed by the signature and stamp of the Korean travel agency. In case the tour was purchased from a Russian travel agency residing on the territory of Russia the copy of the tourist voucher issued by the Russian travel agency with the abovementioned information provided can be submitted to the Consulate.

Hotel reservation confirmations would not be considered as a ground for issuing a visa.
The tourist visas are issued for not longer than 30 days.
Should any doubts occur as for the real purpose of trip or the legitimacy of the submitted confirmation letter the Russian travel company is to submit upon request to the Consulate all the necessary additional documentation that confirm the tourist��s agenda in Russia (hotel reservation papers, transportation documents, etc.)

Entering Russia the foreign tourist is obliged to have on him not only a tourist visa but also a sticker from the confirmation letter and the original of the tourist voucher and be able to present them upon request during the immigration control check-up. The absence of one of the mentioned documents (and the two-way ticket with a fixed date) may serve as a reason to deny the person entry to Russia and to cancel the tourist visa by a border control officer in Russia.
