About educational programmers for foreign students In Russian universities

Cooperation between Russia and South Korea in science and technologies is based on the Agreement between  the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Korea on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed on December 14, 1990.

The Russian-Korean Joint Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation was established to implement the provisions of the Agreement. Meetings of the Committee are held once a year in turns in Moscow and Seoul.
The Ministry of Industry, Science and the Technologies of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Korea are in charge of implementing the Agreement. Cochairmen of the Joint Committee on the level of deputy minister are appointed by corresponding ministries of both sides.
Joint research projects in priority fields of science and technology, exchange of scientists and specialists, establishment of joint research and development centers, joint commercialization of the results of research and development, information exchange on status and development of government policies in science and technologies of the two countries are main forms of scientific and technological cooperation.

Leading research institutes, centers and universities (public and private) of Russia and South Korea are participants of this cooperation. To launch a joint research project they apply to the corresponding part of the Joint Committee with mutually chosen research subject. Their applications are considered by the Joint Committee during its annual meetings and, if approved, included in the Program of Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the countries which enjoys sponsorship and support (including financial) from the governments of Russia and South Korea.

Several dozens of joint research projects have been accomplished since the start of the scientific and technological cooperation.
Another very efficient form of the cooperation is the creation of Russia - Korea joint research centers on the basis of leading Russian research institutes.
