Dear friends! I would like to welcome you at the internet site of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea. It is a great honour for me to be appointed as Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea which is one of the most important partners of the Russian Federation in the Asian-Pacific region. I would like to appreciate the high level of Russian-Korean relations and a wide range of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and scientific spheres. The agreements of the leaders of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea reached in Moscow in September 2008, aimed at adding new features to the cooperation of the two countries and transferring it into strategic partnership, gave to our cooperation significant impulse. It requires from both states to raise the level of mutual confidence, better consider interests of each partner and share mutual assistance in international affairs. I am assured, that the 20th anniversary of establishment diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea, which is to be marked by large-scaled joint events in September 2010, will contribute to further strengthening of our bilateral ties. Realization of these plans will be the main direction of the activities of the Embassy and other Russian missions in the Republic of Korea. Welcome to the internet-site!
