Regarding participation of Ambassador of Russia H.E.Alexander Timonin in the Joint Scientific Conference of Russian Studies Associations of the Republic of Korea

On October, 17, 2015 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea Dr.Alexander Timonin took part in the scientific conference at Korea University «Russia and Korea: Mutual Understanding and Exchange for the Sake of Creating Culture of Mutual Prosperity», which was dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Russia and the Republic of Korea.
The event was co-organized by the Korean Association of Russian Studies and the Korean Association of the Russian Language and Literature, the Korean Association of Slavic Studies and the Korean Association of Slavic and Eurasian Researches. The Chairman of the Korean Association of Russian Studies Dr.Lee Gang-Eung, Chairman of the Korean part of the Coordinating Committee of the Forum “Korea-Russia Dialogue” Dr.Lee Gyu-hyung, Director of the Secretariat of the Forum “Korea-Russia Dialogue” Dr.Hur Seung-cheol and other distinguished South Korean scientists participated in the Symposium.
As Alexander Timonin stressed in his welcome speech, participation of representatives of the four leading Korean Associations of Russian Studies confirmes extension of the number of Korean scientists and teachers, who are professionally engaged in Russia-related issues.
