An evening to the memory
of Ivan Yarygin
in the Embassy of Russia in Seoul

A reception dedicated to the 60-th birth anniversary of the legendary Russian wrestler, Ivan Yarygin, was held in the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of Korea. Numerous guests who came to pay tribute to the memory of the great sportsman on the invitation of Ambassador Gleb A. Ivashentsov of Russia, included Mr. Kim, Chong-Kew, President, Asian Associated Wrestling Committee, Mr. Kim, Ik-hong, Bureau Member of FILA, and Mr. Han, Myong-woo, General Secretary, Korea Wrestling Federation, who knew Ivan Yarygin personally, Korean prize-winners of different international wrestling championships, the leadership of the National Sambo Federation of the Republic of Korea, Ambassador of Belarus, H.E. Mr. A.E. Guryanov and diplomats from other CIS countries.

A photo exhibition devoted to Ivan Yarygin was presented in the main hall of the Embassy.

The South Korean wrestlers who spoke at the reception warmly recalled their meetings with Ivan Yarygin and stressed his weighty contribution to the establishment and development of ties between sportsmen of two countries.
