On May 8, 2010 Russian Embassy took part in yearly Friendship Fair “Hi, Seoul” which was held by Seoul Metropolitan Government. Thousands of Festival guests admiringly received Russian folk ensemble of Nadezda Babkina which performed on the main stage with the most beloved Korean song “Arirang”.

Booths of the Russian Embassy were selling traditional souvenirs and food under the direction of Ambassadress of Russia Mrs. Yulia Vnukova. Hand made souvenirs, created by Embassy’s painters Anna and Denis Baranovy, generated considerable public excitement and were sold out very quick.

Young artists, students of the Russian Embassy’s school presented a concert at the music café and were rewarded with lots of applauses.

Part of proceeds made during the Friendship Fair went to charities in Korea.
