On October 27, 2009 Russian Embassy took part in yearly Diplomatic Community Bazaar which was held by Seoul International Women’s Organization (SIWA). Employees and diplomats of the Russian Embassy were promoting russian culture by selling traditional souvenirs and food. Wooden dolls, called “Matreshka”, made by Anna Baranova, craft woman from the Embassy, were sold out at the very beginning of the Bazaar. All of proceeds went to charities in Korea that are monitored and evaluated by the SIWA Welfare Committee.
